About ME
For more than 15 years, I have been traveling the world with my camera as a travel photographer, book author and filmmaker and prefer to travel by e-bike to get to know the country and its people better. When I'm not on the road, I live in Erfurt with my wife Marion and work full-time as a photographer, author, speaker and filmmaker.
Successes so far
In terms of bike touring, this was certainly my bike trip from Munich to Singapore and the circumnavigation of Australia on a Haibike eq Trekking in 2012. At the time, this was the longest e-bike tour in the world. For me personally, the biggest success is that I've managed to be able to travel by bike full-time and make a living from it. At the end of 2023, I also stood on stage for the 1000th time in 15 years to give a live presentation. Also a personal milestone.

The best bike Region is ...
The country that surprised me the most when it came to cycling was Germany. As a young adult, I wanted to get as far away from my own country as possible, to the most exotic countries, until I cycled through all 16 federal states in 2016. Since then, I've been delighted with my home country, which has a very good cycling infrastructure and I've rarely traveled to a country that has so much to offer in such a small area. And the best thing about it is that it's right on my doorstep.
My coolest bike experience was ...
I'm on stage talking about my bike trips or working in editing and post-production. I also enjoy traveling privately, like good food, am a coffee junkie and like to play basketball.
