We, the Winora Group, would like to thank you for your interest in Haibike eConnect. We are convinced that transparency is essential for a good relation. The protection of your privacy as well as the processing of personalized data is an important topic to us. We process personalized data which are required for eConnect, according to current data protection regulations.
The following data protection regulations apply to our devices, software and apps (services).
We will inform you about what kind of data we collect , how we use it, which controlling options you have concerning your data and which measures we take to protect you.
In this case the loss or damage of data is not considered as property damage and is not subject to possible liability claims.

registration key of your eConnect hub

DATA WE RECEIVE BY USING OUR SERVICES
In order to provide certain eConnect functions, like tracking, route saving, theft protection and accident detection, the personalized data are necessary and processed. The app particularly uses your specified information and also the ones provided by the eConnect system. Without this data collection and processing, the eConnect is not useable.
The services include features that use the exact location data, incl. GPS signals, sensors on the device and the ID of the corresponding cell towers.
If third parties are necessary for the service and operation of eConnect (Telekom Deutschland GmbH, Cumulocity GmbH, Yamaha Motor Co. Ltd.), we are entitled to pass on this collection of data as far as this is required for the functionality of eConnect.
HOW WE USE OUR INFORMATION
PROVIDING, IMPROVING AND DEVELOPING OUR SERVICES
By using the saved data we are able to provide, improve, investigate and develop our services. Thus, for example, we use your data to provide the services you have chosen in order to understand in what kind of way you and other users deal with the services, to record trainings, activities and other trends, to offer customer support, to correct or protect from errors, to perform data analysis and data check, to do market research and surveys, and to develop new functions and services.
COMMUNICATING
We use your data to send messages about our services and to inform you about new functions or products that we believe are interesting for you. You are able to control marketing communication and most service notifications. You are also able to unsubscribe to our newsletter and mailings by clicking on the link "unsubscribe".
We also use your data to answer you when you contact us.
eConnect informs you via Push messages on your terminal device about movement of your eBike, theft and when an accident is detected. These Push messages can be deactivated at any time in the settings of your phone. During the initial app opening, you will be informed about this fact. As soon as the Push messages are deactivated, the overall functionality of eConnect is reduced.
PRESERVATION OF PROTECTION AND SAFETY
We use the collected data to preserve protection and safety of our services and our users as well as of other parties. Thus, we are able to use your data to authenticate, to make it easier to pay safely, to protect from fraud and abusive use, to react to legal requests or claims, to perform tests and to assert our terms and conditions and guidelines.
HOW WE TRANSFER OR PASS ON YOUR DATA
With exception of field of applications mentioned above, we will not pass on or transfer your personal data to anybody.
IF YOU AGREE OR INSTRUCT US TO PASS ON INFORMATION
In accordance with your fundamental right of data portability (art. 20 DSGVO-EU) you have the possibility to instruct us in written form to pass on your data.
FOR EXTERNAL TREATMENT
We transfer data to our group companies, service companies and other partners who process the data for us based on our instructions and in accordance with this guideline as well as in accordance with other confidentiality and safety measures. These partners provide services for us all over the world.
FOR LEGAL REASONS OR FOR PREVENTION OF DAMAGE
We are able to store and transfer your Information in order to meet the obligations that result from the law, regulatory requirements, legal processes or governmental requests in order to enforce legal claims or to defend ourselves against legal claims, as well as to investigate ilegal activities, fraud, abusive use or violations of the terms and conditions and risks for the safety of services or physical safety of individual people.
Please note: As far as it is not prohibited by law, we will inform you in accordance with our Information policy about legal procedures that request for access to your data, e.g. search warrants, court order or summons. In case of a court order to an temporary obligation of confidentiality, we will inform you after the expiration of this term.
Exceptions to our information policy are obligatory or contra-productive circumstances, e.g. in case of emergency involving death or grievous bodily harm of a person.
We are entitled to pass on non-personal data which are aggregated or not identified (and/or are unidentifiable) which thus reasonably do not enable identification of individual persons.
In case we are involved in company merger, a company aquisition or sales of company items, we will take further measures in order to ensure the safety of personal data. We will inform affected users before data will be passed on to legal entities.
HOW TO VIEW AND DELETE PERSONAL DATA
We will give you access to account settings and tools to manage your personal data.
We are storing data connected to your account until your account is closed. You can close your account any time by contacting our customer support via the email address: econnect@winora-group.com.
Please note that deleting your account may take some time during which we have to store your data due to legal reasons for damage prevention (please see section 'How we transfer or pass on you data').
DATA PROTECTION
In order to protect your data against loss, manipulation, destruction and unauthorized access by third parties, we are using technical and organisational security measures. These security measures are continuously improved according to technological development. All data passed on via mobile network as well as eConnect key communication are encoded according to current technological standards and are thus protected against unauthorised access.
OUR INTERNATIONAL ACTIVITIES AND DATA TRANSMISSION
We are operating internationally and may pass on the within the European economic area and Switzerland collected data to the USA for reasons as set in this directive. Winora-Staiger GmbH adheres to the Privacy Shield Treaty between EU and US respectively Switzerland and US concerning the collection, use, transmission and storage of personal data from the European economic area and Switzerland. ALTERATIONS OF THIS DIRECTIVE
Before we carry out substantial alterartions on this directive, we will inform you thusly and will allow to evaluate the altered directive before you decide to continue using our services under this conditions.
